(DUBOIS CO.) - The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office says two people were killed and one seriously injured in a one-vehicle accident Tuesday night on State Road 64, just east of State Road 162.
According to police 20-year-old Carlisha Dooley, of Ferdinand was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed when she lost control of her SUV.
The vehicle hit a guardrail, went down an embankment, hit a tree and apparently overturned, coming to a rest on its wheels.
Her passengers, 20-year-old Jessica Morgan of Birdseye and 28-year-old Eric Bureau, of Dale were pronounced dead at the scene.
Dooley was taken to Jasper Memorial Hospital and then transferred to Saint Mary's in Evansville. She is listed in stable condition this morning.
The accident closed State Road 64 for about 2 ½ hours.
