Two Injured In Crash In Celestine

(CELESTINE) - Two people were injured Wednesday night in a two vehicle accident on State Road 164, about a mile east of Celestine in Dubois County.

The Dubois County Sheriff's Department says 18-year-old Gina Kieffner of Jasper veered left of center when she looked down to check her cellphone.

Her car collided with an oncoming SUV driven by 50-year-old Ken Lueken of Celestine.

Kieffner and Lueken were taken to Jasper Memorial Hospital. Lueken was later airlifted to Saint Mary's Hospital in Evansville.

A passenger in Lueken's vehicle, Kathy Lueken, was checked at the scene and refused medical treatment.
