(UNDATED) - The Better Business Bureau is warning of a computer virus repair scam making the rounds again.
Consumers have recently reported calls from individuals stating a virus has been detected on their computer, but with remote access, a fee or software purchase, the caller can help remove it.
Some of the callers have even used the names of prominent computer companies and spoofed caller IDs.
Usually these callers are looking for a password and credit card number to make the fix, but can also look to install harmful malware providing access to your computer and personal information.
Another ploy is to tell you that if you paid for tech support services, they can get you a refund.
