(BLOOMINGTON) - The Bloomington Police Department is seeking help to identify who may be responsible for recent bank robberies in Bloomington.
The Department is currently investigating four bank robberies:
The first happened on December 6 at People's State Bank on East Kirkwood Avenue and Cadillac Drive.
Then on December 20, the Old National Bank at Buick and Cadillac Drive was robbed.
On December 26, a man wearing a mask and demanding money robbed the Regions Bank on South Liberty Drive and then on January 4 the Old National Bank was robbed for a second time.
In all of the robberies the suspect entered the banks and showed the teller a note demanding money.
No weapon was displayed and no one was injured in any of the robberies.
The suspects then fled on foot.
Police say while there are similarities in physical descriptions and mannerism they have not concluded that all the robberies are connected.
The suspect is described as a white man, between 5-foot-seven to six-feet tall; weighing between 150 to 170 pounds with a thin build. The man had his head and face covered and was wearing sunglasses.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Brandon Lopossa at 812-349-3318 or the Bloomington Police Department at 812-339-4477.
