(FRENCH LICK) - A Brachville man was arrested on numerous charges after crashing his vehicle and fighting with a police officer.
On Friday at approximately 8:15 p.m., Trooper Michael Allen and French Lick Police responded to the French Lick Casino to investigate a report of a vehicle hit and run crash.
29-year-old Robert L. Faith, 29, Branchville, had collided with another vehicle in the parking garage and attempted to flee the scene.
On another floor of the parking garage, officers with the Indiana Gaming Commission located Faith and his vehicle, and attempted to detain him. Faith resisted arrest, battering one of the Gaming officers, causing injury.
A search of Faith's vehicle was conducted, in which officers found marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Faith was arrested without further incident and was taken to the Orange County Jail.
Faith was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer causing injury, a Class D felony; possession of marijuana with a prior conviction, a Class D felony, reckless possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class D felony; maintaining a common nuisance, a Class D felony; resisting law enforcement, a Class A misdemeanor, operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangerment, a Class A misdemeanor, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, a Class C misdemeanor.
