(BLOOMFIELD) - The Greene County Commissioner authorized Bridge 24, located north and east of the Viaduct, on Tulip Road, to be closed effective January 20, to make emergency repairs.
The Greene County Daily World reports that the commissioners made a $175,000 allocation for the bridge to be rebuilt.
Commissioners' President Rick Graves says it is an emergency situation that needs addressed.
Commissioner Ed Michael and Highway Superintendent Brent Murray were authorized to negotiate a contract to rebuild the bridge as soon as possible.
The commissioners also approved a request from county clerk Susan Fowler to move voting locations in Taylor Township from the old Taylor Township Fire Station in Scotland to the new fire department station in the WestGate at Crane Technology Park. The Smith Township voting location was changed from the Providence Baptist Church to Linton Christian Church.
