(LYONS) - An ongoing criminal investigation involving several law enforcement agencies in Greene County, plus a tip received by Greene County Crime Stoppers, resulted in the arrest of a Lyons man late Monday night.
27-year-old Jonathan Kent Quillen is facing a long list of charges including dealing a controlled substance and marijuana, burglary, possession of stolen guns and theft.
Greene County Sheriff's Department, Linton and Lyons police officers served a search warrant at Quillen's home in Lyons Monday.
The Greene County Daily World reports that police seized 19 bags of marijuana, numerous types of prescription pills, digital scales, packaging material and ledgers.
In addition, officers found three loaded handguns and two handguns that had been stolen in local burglaries.
Quillen was not at home when officers arrived with the search warrant, but officers found him hiding at a different location later.
Police are crediting a call to the Greene County Crime Stoppers Tip Line with giving officers information they needed which resulted in Quillen's arrest.
Quillen was charged with two counts of dealing in a Schedule II controlled substance, both as class B felonies; two counts of dealing in a Schedule IV controlled substance, both as class C felonies; one count of possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony; one count of possession of marijuana over 30 grams, a class D felony; one count of receiving stolen property, a class D felony; and one count of maintaining a common nuisance, a class D felony.
Quillen is being held without bond pending his appearance in court.
