(BEDFORD) - Natasha Johns plans to purchase the Bedford First Church of Nazarene property in the 1400 block of R Street.
Johns is hoping to convert the church building into an indoor recreational facility for children.
She plans to install inflatables in the building and other activities, so children would have activities to enjoy during inclement weather.
Johns requested the Bedford Plan Commission to approve a zoning change from R2 to B3.
Plan Director Dan Kirk says before final approval, surrounding property owners would be notified allowing them to have input on the plans for the property.
The commission approved the division of property owned by Vision Group at 16th Street and Plaza Drive. The subdivision would allow the group to sell the property. Plans call from the construction of a gas station on the southeast corner of 16th Street and Plaza Drive.
