(COLUMBUS) - 24-year-old Jacob Tolbert, who is accused of reckless homicide in the death of a fellow bar patron last April is in the midst of a plea negotiations with the Bartholomew county prosecutor’s office.
Witnesses says Tolbert, backed a pickup over 27-year-old Tommy Brazzell of Vallonia outside the Caddies Pub in Columbus.
Tolbert is charged with reckless homicide, leaving the scene of an accident causing death and possession of marijuana.
The ongoing talks in Bartholomew Circuit Court could lead to amended charges within the next 30 days that resolve Tolbert's case without going to trial, officials said.
