(BEDFORD) - St. Vincent Dunn Hospital has implemented a temporary restricted visitation policy to protect patients and the public during this flu season.
Infection control nurse Donna Sexton says the decision to limit visitors came after a spike in flu cases in the hospital's emergency department. The hospital has posted signs of the policy at all entrances.

According to the Indiana Department of Health, Indiana has had 19 influenza-related deaths this year. Health professionals are encouraging everyone to get a flu vaccination and to practice good hand washing And to see your physician if you start developing symptoms.
