(WASHINGTON) - 22-year-old Corey Lyons, of Washington, was sentenced to 65 years in prison in May 2013 in the 2011 death of his 4-month old son. Lyons plead guilty to the murder.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Lyons became agitated by the baby's crying and slammed the child's head into the floor several times and then called 911.
According to the probable cause affidavit, during the 911 Lyons reported the infant had fallen and bumped his head and was not breathing. The child was transported by ambulance to Daviess Community Hospital, where he later died.
