(PAYNETOWN) - Monroe Lake is hosting an afternoon tea party January 14 that promises to be wild.
Wild Afternoon Tea runs from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Paynetown Activity Center.
Naturalist Jill Vance will lead participants in sampling tea varieties made from native plants at Monroe Lake. As tea is served, Vance will discuss plant habitat, identification, harvest, and preparation.
Light snacks are included. Wild Afternoon Tea is limited to 10 people and costs $5 per person. Advance registration is required by January 10 at the Paynetown Activity Center at (812) 837-9967.
Paynetown SRA on Monroe Lake is at 4850 South State Road 446, Bloomington, 47401. There is no entrance fee charged during winter.
