(UNDATED) - Snow and record cold for the season are coming to Indiana this week into next week.
Indianapolis-based National Weather Service Meteorologist Mike Ryan says snow has covered much of the state just days into the new year.
Snow accumulations could reach three or more inches the further north you go into the state.
Ryan says more snow could come over the weekend. A cold front next week could mean temperatures between zero and ten degrees below on Monday night into Tuesday.
Tuesday temperatures may reach ten degrees. These temperatures are without the wind chill factor which will play a part in the overall temperatures in many areas of the state.
