(BLOOMINGTON) - A woman driving a white Subaru station wagon crashed through the wall and window of the Casa Brava on South College Mall Road Friday afternoon.
According to Bloomington Capt. Joe Qualters, the 66-year-old driver complained of leg pain at the scene.
The crash happened at 2:40 p.m. when the woman was attempting to turn from the area of Panera Bread and Steak 'n Shake to go into Eastland Mall.
To avoid an accident with an approaching car, she tried to brake but hit the accelerator instead. She was unable to stop before hitting Casa Brava.
According to police no one in the restaurant was injured and no one was sitting in the booth that was destroyed in the crash.
Casa Brava manager Carlos Tenorio says the restaurant is still open and the main dining room was not damaged in the crash.
