(LINTON) - A recent Indiana State University graduate has taken the reins as president of the Linton City Council.
The Greene County Daily World reports 24-year-old Jathan Wright is believed to be the youngest council president in city history.
Wright is the grandson of longtime Linton mayor Jimmie K. Wright. He is beginning his third year on the council.
He's also served as president of the Greene County Solid Waste Management Board and as the 8th District Chairman of the Young Democrats organization.
Wright has a degree in political science and works at software company Logic Key Inc. in Linton.
