Since 3 p.m. yesterday, until 3 p.m. today, troopers have responded to 7 property damage crashes, 1personal injury crash, 4 slide offs and 24 disabled motorists.
No serious or life threatening injuries were reported.
The Bloomington District utilized all available manpower to ensure the safety of the motoring public and maintained coverage throughout the storm.
Trouble spots for motorists during the storm included Ind ,37 at Vernal Pike in Bloomington, SR 252 at Kramer Town Loop and SR 252 at Ind. 37 (both in Morgan County) and SR 46 West of Nashville.
The most frequent cause for the crashes and slide-offs were motorists driving too fast for conditions. Drivers are encouraged to slow down, follow other vehicles at a safe distance, avoid driver distractions and use extreme caution while driving.
Currently, state roadways within the Bloomington District range from snow covered to scattered slick spots. Secondary roads remain snow covered slick and hazardous.
