(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Tourism recognized four area businesses and organizations for brining tourism into the county.
Executive Director Eric Marvin says the tourism board nominated three businesses in the categories of lodging, attraction and restaurant/brewery and then let the public pick the winners on Facebook.
Annette and Dough Fultz of Guthrie Meadows accepted the award for lodging, Gary Williams and Roy Garret received the award for attraction with the Lawrence County Recreational Park and Brad Hawkins and Darby Jordan, of Salt Creek Brewery were the winners in the restaurant/brewery category.
Lisa Grissom and Melanie Hacker, Charles Edwards and Pam Neal received the even award for the Bedford Christmas Parade. Marvin says the parade, which was canceled in 2013, was nominated for the award before anyone knew the weather would interfere.
Each winner received a limestone plaque and will receive electronic logos on their websites.
