(UNDATED) - Mitchell will begin taking the ISTEP+ test the week March 10 a three-week period the Indiana Department of Education has authorized for testing.
North Lawrence Community Schools Director of Curriculum Mark Vice says principals at each NL building can determine when students take ISTEP.
Vice has asked administrators to start NL's testing on March 10 and run it through March 14. But some of the larger schools might have to start earlier to get all the testing done.
The time frame was extended because of the number of days school has been canceled across the state because of bad weather.
Mitchell Assistant Community Schools Superintendent Phil Storm says will allow student an additional week of instruction and review Students will have up to March 21 to make up tests. Beginning March 17, will be when third-graders will begin the IREAD tests.
Updated math and English/language arts tool kits are available on the IDOE website to help in preparing students for statewide testing.
