(BEDFORD) - The Indiana University Board of Trustees heard an update Friday about the university parking plan for the Bloomington and IUPUI campuses
Last year the Board decided against privatizing campus parking, instead focusing on strengthening existing parking systems.
That will allow the campus to have control of the money and the ability to build or renovate the lots and garages.
The new plan includes promoting transparency in rate setting and the use of newer technologies instead of relying on lot attendants.
It will take between 12 to 18 months to implement the changes.
