(JACKSON CO.) - Indiana State police arrested a Blufton man after they stopped him for a traffic violation in Jackson County Sunday afternoon.
According to ISP Trooper Randel Miller, he stopped a 2008 Mercury passenger vehicle driven by 27-year-old Jamie Husband on I-65.
During a conversation with Husband, the officer became suspicious and had his K-9 Jink walk around the car.
The dog alerted Miller of possible drugs in trunk. When police opened the trunk they found two pounds of high-grade marijuana.
Husband was arrested without incident and is facing felony charges of dealing and possession of marijuana.
Troopers says this case is yet another example of how a traffic stop for traffic violations can lead to more serious criminal activity.
