(BEDFORD) - A Hartford City man was injured after he crashed his vehicle into a utility police Wednesday afternoon on South I Street.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 37-year-old Charles Tarr Jr. could not remember what happened to cause him to crash.
Police say Tarr's 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix began sliding sideways and caused the car to go off the right side of the roadway.
Tarr then over-corrected, causing the car to cross the center line and go off the left side of the road and crash into a utility pole.
Tarr complained of head and body pain and was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
Assisting at the scene was Shawswick Volunteer Fire Department, Bedford Fire Department extrication unit and an IU Health Hospital ambulance.
