(ODON) - After a substantial NewWave Communications plant upgrade, Odon residents are now able to enjoy faster internet speeds in addition to phone service, Whole Home DVR and a full digital and high definition television lineup.
Current customers may have noticed a realignment of their channels, now grouped by interest, in addition to 75 new digital channels, High Definition channels and DVR services are also available with corresponding equipment.
High speed internet up to 50 Mbps are also available to Odon, Elnora, Plainville, Westphalia, Newberry and Sandborn residents. Phone service has already been launched in Odon with plans to bring the service to the other areas in upcoming months.
Delivery of these services from a single provider means more savings for residents, according to John Brinker, NewWave general manager, the goal is to make sure customers receive the best products at the best value and are rolling out new internet, TV and phone bundles helping people stay connected as well as save money.
The Odon-area upgrade is part of a recent $75-million investment NewWave committed to bring advanced communication services to the rural customers. The opening of the Washington local office was another result of this investment.
