(UNDATED) - With the winter storm leaving behind leaving streets and sidewalks covered with snow and ice and more snow in the forecast, the U.S. Postal Service is asking residents to help their mail carriers by clearing snow and ice from sidewalks, steps, and mailboxes.
Postal officials say that maintaining a clear path to the mail box, including steps, porches, walkways, and the street approach will help letter carriers get mail and packages delivered.
