(UNDATED) - Sprint Inc. has closed its four gas stations in Bedford, Mitchell, Orleans and Salem.
All four closed Monday and all four are for sale.
Officials says the stations closed because business the margin retailers make on selling gasoline is shrinking.
The Swifty station at the junction of Ind. 37 and U.S. 50 has been sold. Anderson-based Ricker Oil Company purchased the station for $357,704.
The company also plans to build a new station on the southeast corner of 16th Street and Plaza Drive, across from McDonalds.
