(SULLIVAN) - A Sullivan man suffered a stab wound and another man was arrested after police received a 911 call Monday night.
The stabbing happened in the 600 block of North Broad Street in Sullivan. Indiana State Police and multiple Sullivan County emergency agencies responded to the scene.
According to police, a group of friends had gathered at the home and for some reason a fight started.
During the fight between the homeowner, 56-year-old Bruce Adams, and one of the guests, 28-year-old William Grimes of Merom, Adams was stabbed several times with a pocket-size knife.
Adams was taken to Sullivan County Community Hospital and later flown by helicopter to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis with potentially life threatening injuries.
Grimes was arrested and charged with attempted murder and battery with a deadly weapon.
The investigation is still ongoing and more information may be released at a later time.
