(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Police officers arrested two people Saturday after they pulled over a vehicle and found meth.
Officers stopped the vehicle on 16th Street, after the officer noticed 24-year-old Justin Garrison was driving. The officers recognized Garrison, who was wanted on a warrant for petition to revoke probation.
According to Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig, after stopping the vehicle at 16th and Beech Street, police arrested Garrison and had a K-9 walk around the vehicle. The dog alerted police to possible drugs inside the vehicle.
During a search of the vehicle officers found a white-powder substance that tested positive for meth and a small cigarette, which tested positive for marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Garrison was charged with possession of meth, possession of marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance and on the warrant for petition to revoke probation.
His passenger, 20-year-old Danielle Chance, of Bedford, was arrested on charges of visiting a common nuisance, possession of marijuana and meth.
