(BEDFORD) - It’s time again for the Bedford Boat & Sportsman Club Annual Fundraiser for The Youth Hunter Safety Course and Big Deer Contest.
This two day course teaches safe hunting procedures, ethics, resource conservation and firearm safety. Those who attend will be provided with meals both days and receive a shirt and a gift bag to everyone completing the course.
There is no charge to take this course and any child age 10 and over is welcome to participate.
The week-end following this course there will be The Big Deer Contest. Prizes will be awarded to the children who tag the biggest deer.
The Annual Auction is scheduled for April 26th at 1pm at the Bedford Boat & Sportsman Club. Officials are asking for the community's help with monetary or merchandise donation.
Donations are tax deductible and a Tax ID number will be provided. Merchandise donations will be auctioned off or used as prizes for the course winners.
Without donations from the community the course would not be as successful.
The Club will be open to the public for the auction and everyone is welcome to attend.
To learn more about the program visit the Bedford Boat Club Youth Hunter's Education Safety Course Facebook page.
According to Indiana DNR, the club has one the best Youth Hunter Safety Courses in the State.
