(MITCHELL) - A Bedford man was arrested after he was stopped for a traffic violation early Sunday morning.
33-year-old Mark Phillips Jr. is facing charges of possession of meth over 30 grams with the intent to deal, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving while his driver's license was suspended.
Phillips was stopped by Mitchell police after the officer clocked him traveling 54 miles-per-hour in a 30 mile-per-hour zone. Officers stopped Phillips on Rabbitsville Road, south of Doc Hamilton Boulevard just after 2 a.m.
It was during that traffic stop officers discovered the drugs.
