(BLOOMINGTON) - A third and final arrest has been made in connection with an armed robbery at an apartment on in the 1400 block of North Woodburn Avenue last month.
Bloomington police arrested a 17-year-old male after finding him at his place of employment Monday afternoon.
According to Bloomington police Sgt. Joe Crider the teenager is facing a charge of armed robbery and was transferred to a juvenile detention center.
On Feb. 19, three teenage boys robbed two victims.
According to police 19-year-old Shawn Seymour entered the apartment along with a 16-year-old boy armed with a pellet gun and a 17-year-old boy armed with brass knuckles.
The three teenagers demanded marijuana from the residents. Crider says the 17-year-old struck a 19-year-old resident in the head with the brass knuckles. The victim was then hit with the pellet gun. The victim suffered small cuts and bruises.
Seymour was arrested on Feb. 27, admitting he was at the apartment during the robbery, but denied there was any violence. He told police the teens only wanted marijuana.
A small amount of marijuana was stolen before the three boys fled the apartment on foot. Sgt. Crider says the 16-year-old boy dropped the pellet gun before leaving.
When Seymour was arrested his vehicle was searched and a black digital scale from the apartment was found in the center console.
Bloomington police arrested the 16-year-old on Feb. 25 after his mother called police to say her runaway son had returned home.
All three teens are facing charges of armed robbery.
Seymour entered a not guilty plea on Monday with his bond set at $25,000 surety or $1,000 cash.
