(PALM COAST, Fla.) - A Bedford North Lawrence High School alumni is facing an attempted murder charge in Palm Coast, Florida.
37-year-old Daniel Allen Noble is accused of dressing like Rambo and taking an assault rifle and knives to a bar where he injured two people with knives. Noble is a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Noble was arrested and booked into the Flagler County Detention Facility Saturday night on charges of attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
According to a news release from the Flagler County Sheriff's Department two patrons of the Europa Loungewere injured while attempting to disarm Noble.
28-year-old Vassili Mironov of Palm Coast was stabbed in his left eye and suffered severe lacerations to both his hands. He was taken to Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach. 23-year-old Roman Dubinsechi of Palm Coast suffered moderate lacerations to one arm and refused treatment at the scene.
According to police Noble entered through the back door of a restaurant next to the lounge with an Uzi-style assault rifle pinned to his chest. Noble then entered Europa and confronted at least two men in front of the bar.
Mironov and Dubinsechi attempted to take the rifle from Noble by grabbing the barrel of the weapon and pointing it to the ground. During the struggle, one or two shots were fired. Then Noble pulled one of the hunting knives and according to police that is when Noble stabbed Mironov in his left eye Mironov also suffered the lacerations while attempting to grab the knife. Dubinsechi was also injured during the struggle.
The bar owner, Tiffany Burckhalter, told police Noble had been in the lounge earlier that night around 7 p.m. and was friendly and having a good time. Then around 9:30 p.m. Noble's father came in and talked to Noble outside the lounge.
According to Burckhalter, when Noble came back inside his demeanor changed drastically. When she asked him what was wrong he said his father told him he was dying.
But when police spoke to Noble's father after the incident he told police the conversation with his son was pleasant and he never told him he was dying.
Burckhatler told police after Noble returned to the lounge he then started picking arguments with other patrons in the lounge. He then left and returned around 11:30 p.m. dressed as Rambo with the gun draped over his shoulder.
