(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana State Police troopers along with agents from the United States Marshal’s Service located a fugitive Thursday who was wanted on a felony warrant out of North Carolina for aggravated assault with a gun. The same offense committed in Indiana would have been charged as attempted murder.
Officers did a felony traffic stop and arrested 23-year-old Christopher A. Williams of Bloomington on West 3rd Street near Patterson Drive just before 2:30 p.m.
Williams was taken to the Monroe County Jail without incident and is being held without bail pending his court hearing.
North Carolina had placed nationwide extradition on Williams prior to his arrest.
