(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after he allegedly hit his father with a baseball bat Wednesday afternoon.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers were called to a home in the 2400 block of J Street just before 3 p.m.
When officers arrived, the father told police he and his son had been arguing over the treatment of the family dog when 24-year-old Rosco Gross took a rolled up newspaper and knocked his father's hat off his head.
Gross then took a baseball bat and hit his dad on his right forearm. The father refused medical treatment at the scene.
Gross was arrested and charged with battery.
