(BROWNSTOWN) - A man accused of stealing farm implements to sell to support his drug use was arrested at an area scrap dealer, Jackson County Sheriff’s Department reports.
28-year-old Matthew A. Kendall, of Columbus was booked into the Jackson County Jail at 4:28 p.m. Monday on a theft charge.
He also faces charges of possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia in Jennings County and a charge of theft in Ripley County.
The theft charge in Jackson County stems from an investigation that began at 11 a.m. Monday when the sheriff's department received information about the theft of a pull-type chisel plow in Hamilton Township, northeast of Acme.
