(WASHINGTON) - 21-year-old John Fidler of Washington was sentenced to 10 years in prison Thursday for child molesting.
Fidler plead guilty to molesting a five year old girl in June of 2011.
Fidler was sent to the Logansport State Hospital to assess his mental capacity and receive treatment.
In December 2012, because of behavioral problems with other inmates, Sheriff Jerry Harbstreit requested Fidler be moved to the state facility. Habstriet says they had moved Fidler 76 times within the jail for incidents and violations.
Following his sentence he will register as a sex offender and be on parole for the rest of his live.
According to a probable cause affidavit, On June 9, 2011, Fidler the young girl in a Washington home and took photos of the incident. The girl's 12-year-old sister saw the incident and alerted her mother. Fidler was then arrested.
