Mitchell Man Arrested After Domestic Fight

(MITCHELL) - A Mitchell man was arrested after he got into a fight with his girlfriend early Sunday morning.

Mitchell Police were called to a home in the 400 block of Frank Street at 5:47 a.m. after a woman reported she had been hit and injured.

Police says 30-year-old Christopher Van Gemert had been drinking and then got into a verbal fight that turned physical.

Van Gemert was arrested and charged with battery.
