(ORLEANS) - The Orleans Chamber of Commerce will host its first “Breakfast Chat” on Thursday.
The meeting will begin at 8 a.m. and will be hosted by Orange County REMC. The topic will be the upcoming Orleans Historic Downtown Façade Study.
Executive Director Robert F. Henderson says the chamber and Orleans town officials have recently engaged the services of Michel Timpermann Ritz Architects of New Albany with the help of a grant provided by Indiana Landmarks.
The firm will be conducting an assessment of a number of the historic storefronts in and around the immediate downtown area.
Input will be sought during the breakfast session from each of the downtown building and business owners.
Later this month the architectural firm will also be contacting building owners to schedule access to the buildings slated for the review.
Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP by calling the Orleans Chamber office, 865-9930. Questions about the project may also be directed to the chamber.
