(WASHINGTON CO.) - According to an Indiana State Police report, troopers were called to Becks Mill Road nare Posey Chapel Road just after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
According to troopers, a 2005 Chevrolet Cavailer, driven by 18-year-old Dakota Bowling, of Salem, was traveling south on Becks Mill Road, when the vehicle crested a hill and the Bowling lost control of the vehicle. The car went left of center striking the front of a northbound 2000 Ford F350 pickup truck driven by 41-year-old Jared Green, of Fredricksburg.
Green attempted to pull the truck off the east side of Becks Mill Road in an attempt avoid the crash.
Bowling and his front seat passenger 19-year-old Serena Durgins, of Fredricksburg and a back seat passenger 18-year-old Cody Lavens, of Fredricksburg was all taken by helicopter to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment. The reports states all three suffered serious injuries. Bowling and Durgin were wearing seat belts. Laven was not.
Green, who also was wearing a seat belt was not injured.
Indiana State Police Crash Reconstructionist were called to the scene to reconstruct the crash. This investigation is continuing with the above information being preliminary.
