(BEDFORD) - Because of the incoming weather, Sheriff Sam Craig has canceled visitation at the jail today.
Many churches have also closed their doors this morning because of the weather.
Forecasters are saying roads are getting dangerous and are advising motorist to stay off the roadways today as this storm approaches.
The sheriff's department is reporting that the county roads are becoming icy and hazardous since rain started falling this morning.
A Jackson County Sheriff's dispatcher reported,"It's getting worse by the minute."
Central Indiana is under a winter storm warning until 7 am Monday.
Indianapolis metro and points north will see 3-6 inches, while areas south of I-70 to the Ohio River will get a sleet/snow combination of 4-7 inches. A second round of precip hits later in the day.
