(MITCHELL) - A Bedford man who was out on bond on meth charges, was arrested again on Saturday.
34-year-old Mark Phillips Jr was arrested after Lawrence County Police officers stopped a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Melissa Phillips on Ind. 37 because the vehicle had "extremely dark" window tint. When the officers ran the license plate it did not come back to the vehicle it was attached to.
Sheriff Sam Craig says a K-9 officers was called to the scene and the dog alerted officers to possible drugs in the vehicle.
Officers found marijuana, a small amount of cash and a glass pipe used to ingest drugs and baggies of meth.
Craig says that Mark Phillips told police the drugs belonged to him.
He is now facing charges of dealing and possession of meth, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and visiting a common nuisance.
Melissa Phillips was arrested on a charge of maintaining a common nuisance.
Mark Phillips was previously arrested on March 16 by Mitchell police officers after a traffic stop in Mitchell. He was charged then with intent to deal meth, possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.
He was out on bond at the time of this arrest.
