(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was arrested after police found meth and marijuana in her apartment Monday night.
Bedford Police went to an apartment building in the 400 block of Q Street at 7:18 p.m. after another resident reported that his neighbor, 25-year-old Stephanie Grace, had taken items from his apartment. When police arrived they went to Grace's apartment to question her about the missing items and that is when they noticed a strong odor of burnt marijuana.
"While talking to her about the stolen items, officers noticed a smoking pipe on her table," says Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley. "She was then advised of her rights and allowed officers to search her apartment for the missing items and other drugs."
Officers found a baggie of marijuana and a container with a plastic straw and a white substance that tested positive for meth. They also found synthetic marijuana. Officers also found the missing items, but Grace says the items belonged to her.
"There was some doubt on who owned the items," Parsley says. "That will have to be settled in civil court," Parsley added.
Grace was arrested is facing charges of possession of a synthetic drug, meth and marijuana/hashish, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance.
