(BLOOMFIELD) - A Bloomfield man was killed in an accident Tuesday evening on State Road 54.
Greene County Coroner Sherri Wilson says 42-year-old Michael Joe Abrams was pronounced dead at the scene from blunt force trauma to the head and spine
Abrams was a passenger in a 1989 Chevrolet Blazer driven by 26-year-old Phillip C. Lash of Bloomfield.
Lash was transported to Greene County General Hospital's helipad where he was transported by Air Evac helicopter to Eskenazi Health in Indianapolis where he is listed in fair condition in the intensive care unit.
According to police, Lash was traveling west on State Road 54, west of Bloomfield, when the Blazer left the roadway on the north side of the highway and struck a culvert and came to rest on its side.
