(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man was injured after he crashed his 2012 GMC pickup truck into a home in the 100 block of South Kirby Road Sunday night.
According to an Indiana State Police report, the accident happened just before just before 6:30 p.m.
29-year-old Nicholas Sexton was traveling west on State Road 48 and was approaching Kirby Road at a high-rate of speed when he lost control of the truck at the intersection, traveled off the roadway and crashed into a home at 130 South Kirby Road.
No one was home when the accident happened.
Sexton, who complained of body pain, was taken to a local hospital by ambulance for treatment. He was cited for speed too fast to avoid a collision.
