(JASONVILLE) - 23-year-old Mark Irons of Jasonville is accused of “busting through” the front door of one residence around 1:30 a.m Thursday, right after he allegedly attempted to muscle his way through the front door of another residence, breaking windows and causing injury to a woman who was trying to hold the door shut.
He was arrested on the scene by Jasonville Police.
Irons was found coming out of one of the houses with lacerations on his hands and blood on his shirt and shoes.
Officers were called to a residence on North Meridian Street about a fight, when police arrived a woman told him Irons had busted windows out of her front door and then fled when she called 911.
The woman told police that Iron was looking for a man and when she refused to allow him in Irons allegedly punched out two windows in the door, which the woman was leaning against to keep Irons from entering. The second punch hit the woman in the head.
The officers found Irons in the area of West Walnut and North Washington streets.
When Police arrived, a man stopped the officers and reported that Irons was "going ballistic." Irons found inside the man's home on West Walnut Street.
The man told police he was asleep when he heard someone busting through his front door and by the time he got out of bed, Irons was in the man's kitchen.
Two criminal cases were filed against Irons on Friday.
He was charged with battery resulting in bodily injury and criminal mischief. He is also facing charges of residential entry.
