(LINTON) - A 22-year-old Linton man was arrested last week after he allegedly picked up a woman and slammed her onto a carpet-covered concrete floor during a domestic fight.
The woman was taken to the Greene County General Hospital for treatment.
Douglas Poole appeared in Greene Superior Court Monday to face a charge of domestic battery.
According to Linton Police, officers were notified about the incident while the woman was in the emergency room. The woman told police that she and Poole lived together and had gotten into an argument after she spilled a cup of soda on Poole. Poole chased the woman, who tried to get away, and after he caught her he slammed her to the ground. The woman was then able to leave the apartment.
Poole told police there had been an argument and that he had shoved the woman.
