(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police are investigating a robbery that happened in the 300 block of East Varsity Lane at 2:05 a.m. Sunday.
According to Bloomington Police Sgt. Joe Crider a 21-year-old man was beaten by a group of men that then took his wallet and cellphone.
Witnesses told police that one man punched the man in the face, knocking him to the ground. Then another man reportedly started kicking him.
The man suffered injuries to his face and head including swelling, bruising and cuts. He was taken by ambulance to IU Health Bloomington Hospital for treatment.
Anyone with information about the attack is asked to call the Bloomington Police Department.
