(MITCHELL) - A Mitchell man was arrested after police were called to a home in the 1000 block of Rariden Hill about a woman being injured during a domestic fight.
According to Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig officers received a call at 6:48 p.m. Tuesday from a friend of the woman's reporting the woman had been injured and needed assistance.
When officers arrived at the home they talked to the woman, who told police 35-year-old Jeremy Hall had choked her and then hit her with a broom. The woman suffered minor injuries.
While police were talking to the woman, Hall ran from the back of the home.
"He was located a short distance from the home and arrested," Craig says.
Hall was wanted on two warrants for failure to appear and now a charge of domestic battery.
