(BEDFORD) - Morgan Cummings was crowned Mr. BNL and Mr. Congeniality at the Bedford North Lawrence Performing Arts Center Friday night.
Cummings, a senior, represented the Pep Club. He was one of 14 contestants at the event sponsored by BNL's Renaissance.
Mr. BNL is the primary fundraiser of Renaissance, which encourages and rewards students for good attendance and improving their grades.
The teens were judged in five categories at the annual spoof on beauty pageants.
The first runner-up was Eric Cecil, representing the Spanish Club. He also ranked first in the fitness category.
Matt Higgins, representing the French Club, was second runner-up ranked first in formal wear and interview category winner.
Josh Elliott, representing the Beta Club, took first in the costume contest for wearing a beta fish costume. Chris Brown won the talent category for playing the guitar and singing "Johnny B. Goode".
Those attending cast their votes for Tanner Romine as the people's choice winner.
Other contestants were: Devin Anderson, Will Cross, Dusty Groh, Tyler Harrison, Kyle Hatfield, Devin New, T.J. Underwood and Alex Wong.
