(LINTON) - Motocross racing starts in Linton this weekend.
Motocross practice kicks off on Saturday, at 11 a.m. with an entry fee of $15. Gate admission is free for the practice.
On Sunday, practice starts at 9 a.m. with racing at 11 a.m. Gate admission is $7 for adults, $4 for children under 10, and free for children 5 and under. Cost to ride is $25 for first class and $20 for each additional class.
Cheryl Hamilton, Linton-Stockton Chamber of Commerce executive director says the money earned will fund Linton's Freedom Festival.
Past motocross events have attracted riders and audience members from 12 to 15 counties throughout the state.
Concessions will be available during the weekend event, with limited concessions on Saturday.
The event takes place at the motocross track, which is located on Park Road at the Conservation Club. A rain date has been set for May 3, and 4. Registration forms are available at the Linton Freedom Festival website.
