(BEDFORD) - The North Lawrence Career Center will be offering an adult welding class beginning April 21.
The class will meet on Monday through Friday until the total instruction time of 40 hours is met. Classes will meet from 4:30 until 8:30 each evening. The charge for the class is $250. This fee pays for the instruction, steel, gases, and other supply costs. There must be at least 10 enrollments for the class to proceed.
Students will be able to learn beginning welding skills and progress to higher levels as their ability allows.
More advanced students can learn oxy-fuel welding and cutting, shielded metal arc welding, MIG welding, TIG welding, welding ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, plasma cutting, reading welding symbols and blueprints.
The nature of the program allows for individualized training to meet each student's interest.
Anyone interested should contact David McCart at the Career Center for information at 279-3561.
