(ORLEANS) - The Orleans Ministerial Association Dogwood Festival events this year will once again include a celebration and participation of the National Day of Prayer on Thursday May 1st.
The association will be sponsoring a Prayer Booth in the town square.
From Thursday, May 1st through Parade Day May 3rd the group will have a prayer booth set up where visitor can share prayer request or would like to stop and pray for those requesting pray.
All week the attendants and congregations will be praying for any expressed needs.
On that Thursday, National Day of Prayer, there will be a group prayer time at 6pm, and everyone is invited to come and pray for all the needs in the community and nation.
The ministerial association will play host to "Gospel in the Park" on Wednesday April 30 the event will feature the musical talents of Kirby Stailey. The free concert and begins at 6 pm so bring your lawn chairs.
On the closing day of the Dogwood festival May 4th the annual traditional Dogwood Festival Vesper service will be held at historic Congress Square at 6 p.m. In case of rain the event will moved to the Orleans United Methodist Church. This will be a time of reflection and thanks for what God has done for each of us and the community.
